Crisp Wireless Partners with Fast Company to Create Mobile Ad Sponsorship for Lexus
Mobile Ad Campaign Achieves Double-Digit Click-Thru Rates on Fast Company Mobile
NEW YORK – September 14, 2009 – Crisp Wireless, a rich media mobile advertising company, today announced a partnership with Fast Company to create mobile site sponsorship packages for premium advertisers including beyond-the-banner ad units, ad reporting, and ad sales support for mobile. Lexus was the first to take advantage of a Fast Company mobile sponsorship, creating a high impact branded experience. This sponsorship included a full-screen, homepage takeover ad unit, tap-to-expand ads, companion banner ads, and incorporation into the Fast Company mobile site design.
The campaign, promoting the Lexus IS Convertible, leveraged existing IAB-approved, 300x250 ad creative, making it easy for Lexus to extend their campaign to mobile. The full screen ad unit achieved >10 percent click-thru rates (CTRs), representing a 5x increase over standard banners.
“Fast Company asked us to deliver a unique and compelling mobile campaign for Lexus,” said Tom Foran, Chief Revenue Officer, Crisp Wireless. “On Fast Company, we re-skinned the site to match the Lexus logo and colors and incorporated “brought to you by” branding. Crisp also created and served full-screen ads and expandable banners. The result was a high impact sponsorship for Lexus on a premium mobile property.”
“Fast Company has the most progressive, creative and innovative readers in business,” said Christine Osekoski, Fast Company’s publisher. “This time-pressed audience leads the way in adopting the latest technologies to stay ahead in the fast-paced world of information and we were happy to partner with Crisp Wireless to extend the reach of our advertisers to wherever our audience takes us.”
Created and hosted by Crisp Wireless, Fast Company Mobile can be found by typing http://m.fastcompany.com into a mobile browser. Fast Company Mobile displays feature articles, along with daily news and analysis about technology, design, and ethonomics. Crisp’s Save/Share feature allows Fast Company’s mobile readers to share interesting articles with friends or post to social bookmarking or networking site just as easily as they can on the company’s on-line property.
Lexus is the latest of many major brands utilizing Crisp Wireless’ beyond-the-banner ad units. Most recently, Paramount Pictures’ mobile ad campaign promoting the movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, appeared on Fandango’s iPhone-optimized site. The campaign utilized Crisp’s full-screen, homepage takeover ad unit and drove a high level of consumer engagement.
