Intel's Drag and Drop Mobile Ad Paves the Way to a Better Alternative to iAd

As Part of The “Work Smarter” Marketing Campaign by The Hyperfactory, Intel Launches Rich Media Ads from Crisp Wireless

NEW YORK – August 2, 2010 – On the heels of Apple’s first iAds appearing to the public, mobile marketing industry leader, The Hyperfactory, and Crisp Wireless, the industry’s only cross-platform rich media mobile advertising solution, today announced a recent mobile ad campaign for Intel’s Core processors that has the richness, interactivity and polish of an iAd, without the creative restrictions and platform limitations.

As part of its “Work Smarter” marketing program, The Hyperfactory utilized Crisp Wireless’ rich media ad components to deliver an interactive rich media mobile campaign that encouraged viewers to engage with the ad to find their ideal Intel processor. The campaign, which performed better than previous campaigns, is a prime example of what agencies can accomplish, in both creative and distribution, using Crisp’s open HTML5 platform.

Intel’s interactive advertisement, which ran via an expandable banner ad, allowed users to interact by dragging and dropping icons, which then prompted a survey to determine which Intel Core Processor best-suited the users’ needs. Once a final processor selection was presented, the user could then choose to click through to an Intel “Work Smarter” micro-site or go back to the homepage from which they entered the interactive ad. The Hyperfactory created the mobile Web campaign using Crisp Wireless’ platform, the only one on the market able to scale rich media ads across mobile Web and in-app, on smartphones and tablets. Using Crisp’s real-time metrics and campaign-management analytics, Intel and The Hyperfactory were able to measure interactions, completions, and site conversions, in addition to standard impressions and click-through rates.

“Just as Intel serves the world’s most powerful processors in the world, Crisp Wireless was chosen to power the mobile web component of the ‘Work Smarter’ campaign because their rich media mobile ad formats are industry leading,” said Derek Handley, CEO at The Hyperfactory. “Using the Crisp platform, we are able to create rich, iAd-like mobile ads that run across devices, publisher sites, and applications, as well as measure detailed engagement metrics across the entire campaign.”

The Crisp Wireless Platform provides unparalleled reach with premium publishers and ad networks. Over 700 sites and apps support Crisp ads, including the likes of Hearst, CBS, and The Wall Street Journal Digital Network. Crisp ad formats include expandable, location-aware, tap-to-video, interstitials with embedded video, ads with social media capabilities and can run in-app or via the Web on smartphones and tablets, including Google Android devices and Apple’s iPhone and iPad.
